Most night shifts in care feel like you're just managing crises and counting down the hours. This isn't that. You'll be the steady, trusted presence that helps young adults with autism and learning disabilities feel safe through the night, build real confidence, and wake up believing in their future
Picture this: it's 2am and a young person you've been building trust with all week has a moment of anxiety. Because you're there, alert and present, you know exactly how to help them through it. You've become the adult they rely on, the one who understands their communication, their routines, their goals. That's the impact of waking nights done right
This is a family-run home where young adults with autism and learning disabilities are treated as individuals, not cases. The team genuinely knows each person's story, celebrates their wins (first community trip, learning to cook, trying something new), and supports each other like colleagues should. You won't be left to fend for yourself; you'll be part of something close-knit and real
You'll lead shifts, handle medication safely, review care plans that actually matter, support personal care where needed, and help young adults access the hobbies and community experiences that make life worth living. Every night is different, but every night is meaningful. And the training and career progression they invest in you means you'll grow into the role you're meant for
