What you will be doing
- Provide waking night supervision and support to young people aged 11 - 18 with learning disabilities and mental health needs, keeping them safe and secure during overnight hours
- Model positive behaviour and help young people develop everyday life skills and independence through day-to-day interactions and guidance
- Manage challenging situations calmly and confidently, always keeping the child's best interests at the heart of your response
- Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to deliver tailored support plans
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, young people and families, and contribute to a homely, therapeutic environment both in the home and out in the community
