Most care jobs feel like you're just ticking boxes and getting paid the minimum. This one is different: you'll be managing a real team in an 8-bedded home, building genuine relationships with people who have complex mental health, autism, acquired brain injury and learning disability needs, and getting paid fairly for doing it. If you've got Level 3 Health and Social Care and you want a role where your leadership actually matters, this is it

Picture your week: you're not just delivering care from a care plan, you're actually leading. You're supporting your team to help people cook their own meals, go shopping, have fun together. You're liaising with health professionals and families. You're running supervisions that help your staff grow. You're maintaining accurate records that keep people safe. Every single day, you're helping eight people with complex needs have the best day possible - and you're doing it with a team that respects your leadership

The home is genuinely invested in you. They've paid for your Enhanced DBS yourself, they cover your QCF qualifications so you can progress, and they match your pension contributions up to 3%. You get 5.6 weeks of annual leave including bank holidays. If you refer someone and they stick around, you both share a £500 bonus. They offer Care First counselling when you need it, Circle wellbeing support, and Blue Light discounts across your whole life - not just at work

The pay is transparent and fair: £15.25 to £15.85 per hour depending on what you bring, with 35 hours a week so it's sustainable. You're treated as a professional, not just another body filling shifts. Real Living Wage Employer status means they've actually committed to paying properly. This is the kind of place where people stay, build careers, and feel valued

What you will be doing

  • Manage and support a team of Support Workers, ensuring they deliver high standards of care aligned with each person's care and support plan

  • Liaise with families and health professionals, keeping everyone in the loop about how the people you support are doing
  • Complete supervisions and audits with your team, making sure all duties are performed to standard and that the home stays a happy, efficient, homely place to live
