Most care roles ask you to do more with less support and leave you stuck at the same level for years. This Senior Support Worker position is different: you'll lead a tight-knit team of support workers, shape the culture of a small residential home, and get genuine development opportunities that actually progress your career. If you've got an NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care and you're ready to step up, this is the role that recognises your leadership

You'll be working in a home that supports 7 adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs, where your focus is on helping each person feel good about themselves and build the life they actually want. Small enough to make a real difference, big enough that you're not drowning in it. Your job is to ensure high standards of care, but also to actively encourage good community relationships and promote activities that matter to the people you support

As Senior Support Worker, you're the glue. You'll manage the support worker team, complete supervisions and audits, liaise with families and health professionals, and keep meticulous records that make care plans come alive. You'll work shifts from 8.30am to 9pm and 9pm to 8.30am as required, but you won't be doing it alone or unsupported. The home values its people, and that means investing in you too

This provider is a Real Living Wage Employer with transparent, fair pay that reflects your qualifications and experience. You get 5.6 weeks of annual leave including public holidays, your Enhanced DBS is fully paid, and they've backed in proper career development: QCF qualifications, progression routes, and genuine investment in your growth. This is a place where long service matters and gets recognised
