Most care roles feel like you're just getting through the shift. But this Team Leader position is different: you'll shape how a whole team delivers care, mentor staff who are hungry to grow, and work in a home where your leadership actually changes how residents experience every single day. If you've got the experience and the heart to lead from the front, this is the role you've been waiting for

Picture yourself walking into a home where 67 residents aren't just being looked after - they're living. Where a chat in the café, a moment in the garden, or help with getting ready for the day all matter because you've built a team that understands that. As Team Leader, you're not stuck behind a desk: you're on the floor, supporting residents with daily living, answering calls, liaising with GPs, and doing the hands-on work alongside your team

Your real power in this role is in the people you develop. You'll be training and supervising junior and new staff members, showing them how to deliver person-centred care that actually works. You'll arrange rotas that meet each resident's needs - medications, toileting, bathing - and make sure handovers and keyworker records are spot-on. That's leadership that sticks

This is a home built on warmth and compassion. The team here shares values: being responsive to individual needs, creating a healthy and safe space, and building people up through training and self-development. Work in an environment where your leadership is valued, where professional development is real, and where the work genuinely matters

What you will be doing

  • Support and assist residents with all aspects of daily living, from personal care to medications, toileting and bathing, responding to their individual needs with compassion
  • Train, supervise and develop junior and new staff members across all aspects of their work in the home, under the direction of senior management
  • Answer the nurse call system, manage the door and telephone, and respond to requests with warmth and efficiency, passing on messages promptly
  • Monitor resident wellbeing, liaise with GPs and support managers, and carry out regular welfare checks at intervals set by senior staff
  • Arrange and manage rotas to meet each resident's care requirements, complete all required records and documentation to standard, and ensure keyworker handovers are fully completed within agreed timeframes

Why you will love working here

  • £13.80 per hour, paid work that values your experience and your leadership
  • Professional development and training to keep you growing in your role
  • Employee of the Month recognition, because good work deserves to be celebrated
  • Long-term service awards and a Blue Light Card, showing we reward loyalty and commitment
  • Refer a Friend scheme, so you can bring your best people into the team and benefit yourself

Is this you?

  • Is this you: you've got real experience in care, ideally in a similar team leader or senior carer role, and you know how to deliver person-centred care that actually transforms lives?
  • You're a natural mentor - the kind of person junior staff want to learn from, who can spot potential and help people grow into better carers?
  • You thrive in a hands-on environment where you're still doing direct care work alongside your team, not hiding away in an office?
  • You're organised, detail-focused, and genuinely committed to maintaining the highest standards of care, wellbeing and safety for residents and staff alike?
