The home operates as a therapeutic space with clinical psychology support built in. Many of the young adults have stepped down from hospital care or are bridging the gap between children's services and adult independence. Some are in their first supported living experience after foster care. You'll work both within the home and out in the community, providing the structure and positive role modelling that genuinely transforms outcomes
You won't be doing this alone. You're joining a team that values leadership, takes responsibility seriously, and actually invests in people. The provider funds professional training (Level 3 and 4 Health & Social Care qualifications, even degree-level study), with clear routes into senior positions. What you will be doing
- Lead and support a team providing daily care and structure for young adults with complex needs in a residential setting
- Guide young people through community activities and independence-building work, helping them develop life skills
- Work shifts that include both days and waking nights, modelling positive behaviour and maintaining a calm, adaptive approach under pressure
- Communicate effectively with young people, colleagues, and partner agencies, escalating safeguarding and clinical concerns as needed
- Contribute to the therapeutic environment through consistent, reliable presence and proactive problem-solving
