What you will be doing
- Plan, deliver and adapt learning across relevant Areas of Learning, creating tailored short- and medium-term plans that respond to individual needs
- Act as tutor to a small group of young people, supporting their holistic development in close partnership with residential teams
- Evidence progress for moderation, track learning outcomes and collaborate with the Learning Lead through regular meetings and accurate record-keeping
- Implement structured teaching approaches and This Is Me plans, ensuring safeguarding and health needs are met throughout the school day
- Line-manage an Education Autism Practitioner, model best practice and mentor colleagues while supporting induction of new team members
- Build relationships with workplace partners to create work experience opportunities, maintain a safe and well-resourced learning environment, and provide lunch cover when required

Is this you?
- Are you experienced teaching or supporting autistic children, young adults or individuals with complex needs, with solid knowledge of autism, learning disabilities, safeguarding and risk assessment?
- Can you plan, deliver and assess learning effectively, manage a busy workload, and communicate clearly with colleagues across residential and education teams?
- Do you have the drive to motivate and engage young people with complex needs, and the resilience to adapt when things don't go to plan?
- Have you got a full UK driving licence? It's essential because of the site location and lack of provided transport
- Ideally, do you hold Qualified Teacher Status (or are you close to achieving it), degree-level education, SEND qualifications or willingness to work towards them, or TEACCH training?
- Have you got line-management experience or familiarity with the OFSTED Education Framework? Brilliant - but not essential if your core teaching and autism knowledge is strong
