What you will be doing
- Provide personalised support to 40 young people with EHC plans, adapting your approach to each learner's needs and goals
- Work alongside tutors and an HLTA across various classes, assisting with the full planning cycle and preparing resources that work
- Support students throughout the school day and beyond - classroom, breaks, lunchtimes, enrichment activities and community outings
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with learners, tutors, carers, colleagues and other professionals, solving problems as they arise
- Cover whole classes when teachers are absent in the short term, demonstrating your confidence and capability
- Engage in specialist training where needed to support students with particular needs

Is this you?
- You hold a Level 3 qualification in supporting teaching and learning (or equivalent)
- You have hands-on experience working with young people who have additional needs and ideally EHC plans, preferably in a post-16 setting
- You can work on your own initiative within clear systems of supervision, and you're solution-focussed when challenges come up
- You're comfortable building relationships across a whole range of people - students, staff, families, other professionals - and you listen well
- You're willing to bring practical examples in your application showing how you've done this work before
