Most PE teaching jobs ask you to deliver curriculum in a box. This one asks you to transform young lives through movement, energy and genuine connection. You'll be opening a purpose-built, state-of-the-art school alongside a team hand-picked to do something genuinely different for children with autism and SEMH needs
Imagine walking into a brand new school building designed from the ground up for 72 young people aged 6 to 16, where every classroom, every corridor, every space has been built with their needs in mind. You're not making do with tired facilities or fighting against the system. You're part of something being created right now, opening in September 2026, in one of the best SEND environments in the country
Your PE lessons won't be about league tables or hitting targets. They'll be about those huge small victories: the child who sat through a full session for the first time, the young person who tried something new and discovered they were braver than they thought, the moment when movement and confidence bloom together. Your colleagues will be in-house psychologists, therapy professionals and teaching assistants who genuinely get it. You'll have the support to build something extraordinary
This provider invests in their teachers. Career progression is real: most of the senior leaders have been promoted from within. You'll get full induction and on-the-job training, access to in-house expertise, beautiful working environments with the very best facilities, and a pension that actually reflects the work you do. They're building a team that reflects the diversity and neurodiversity of the young people they serve, because they know that's what makes the real difference
