What you will be doing
- Deliver engaging, differentiated teaching in Maths, English, PSHE and Science to small groups (maximum 4 students) with Communication and Interaction needs
- Work closely with your teaching associate to create and sustain a safe, regulated learning environment that integrates sensory needs, regulation strategies and pupil interests
- Develop creative approaches that balance individual student wellbeing with inclusive attainment, keeping future destinations in focus through curriculum planning and review
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with families, other agencies and the wider community to support each young person's progress and transition to adulthood
- Complete all mandatory safeguarding, Prevent and Foundations for Safer Care training annually, and model excellent safeguarding practice every day
- Champion Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural opportunities across your teaching, helping young people feel valued, heard and safe

Is this you?
- You hold Qualified Teacher Status and have substantial recent experience (last 3 years) teaching in a SEN setting - ideally with young people on the autistic spectrum or those with complex, trauma-informed needs
- You have genuine empathy for young people with mental health and complex needs, and you approach safeguarding with absolute seriousness - developing appropriate relationships, clear boundaries and consistent discipline
- You're up to date with the SEND Code of Practice 2014, EHCP implementation and current Local Authority and National expectations for SEND
- You're confident working unsupervised, using initiative effectively, and you're genuinely committed to reviewing your own practice and undertaking continuous professional learning
- You're creative, collaborative and eager to listen with love - you understand that how staff treat pupils is crucial to cementing healthy relationships
