Most social worker roles lock you into an office or tie you to rigid schedules that treat your own family life as an afterthought. This one is different: you'll work from home with genuine flexibility, build real relationships with foster carers and young people who need you, and actually have time for the life you're building outside work. If you're a qualified social worker (or newly qualified and up for the ASYE challenge) who wants to do meaningful work on your own terms, this is it

Imagine a role where no two days are the same. You'll be building your own caseload of fostering households, getting to know real carers and the young people in their homes. Some days you're supporting experienced foster families through complex placements. Other days you're introducing new potential carers to the service, helping them understand what fostering truly means. You work independently, but you're never alone - a team that genuinely has your back is always there

This is a home-based role that actually respects your life. Flexible working isn't code for 'we'll call you anytime' - it means you can structure your week around what works for you, as long as the caseload gets the care it deserves. You'll have a generous mileage scheme because visiting families matters, and your travel costs won't come out of your pocket

The salary reflects your worth: starting at £28,184 and rising to £32,344 based on your experience and qualifications (newly qualified social workers are actively supported). But the real growth comes from bonuses for completing Form F assessments and for maintaining placements above your minimum caseload of 14. Yearly pay reviews track your development, and the provider actively promotes people into roles across Residential, Fostering, Education and Therapy. A pension scheme and genuine internal progression round out a package designed to reward commitment

  • Complete Form F assessments for matching and placements, with bonus incentives for timely completion
