You've already proven you can make a real difference in a young person's life. Most care roles ask you to repeat the same level year after year, but this one is different: we recognise your 1+ years of experience and pay you accordingly, then actively develop you toward management. If you're ready to stop treading water and start climbing, keep reading

Picture this: you're a year or two into care work, you know how to handle a crisis, you've built trust with the young people you support, and you're thinking 'what's next?' Most services will keep you at the same level for years. We don't. Your Level 3 Health and Social Care Qualification and hands-on experience earn you a spot on an accelerated pathway toward Deputy Manager, with every step mapped out and supported

You'll move from frontline support into leadership without having to leave the young people behind. You'll mentor new staff, contribute to how the team develops, and train others in the crisis intervention and specialised care approaches you've already mastered. Your expertise becomes the thing that shapes the service, not just fills shifts

The team funds every qualification you need to get there, from Level 2 right through to Level 5. You'll develop advanced skills in complex care and therapeutic techniques, with real support from people who understand that management isn't about leaving care behind, it's about leading it better

What you will be doing

  • Provide consistent, trauma-informed residential support to young people with complex needs across flexible shift patterns, including long days and 24-hour placements
  • Use advanced crisis intervention and specialised care approaches to de-escalate and support during high-need moments
  • Mentor and support new staff members, passing on your proven skills and contributing to team development
  • Take on growing responsibility for shift leadership and decision-making as you progress toward Deputy Manager level

Why you will love working here

  • Up to £18/hour depending on experience, with accelerated progression built into your contract from day one
  • Every qualification funded, from Level 2 through Level 5, so your development costs nothing and your career path is clear
  • Fast-track to Deputy Manager level based on your existing skills, not a 10-year grind at entry grade
  • Specialist training in crisis intervention, therapeutic techniques and complex care, designed to build on what you already know
  • Flexible shift patterns including long days and 24-hour rota options, giving you choice in how you work

Is this you?

  • Are you at least 1+ year into your care career with a proven track record of impact with young people?
  • Do you hold a Level 3 Health and Social Care Qualification (or equivalent proven experience we can build on)?
  • Are you eager to develop management and leadership skills, not just stay in the same role indefinitely?
  • Do you have a full driving licence with business insurance? (Essential for this role.)
  • Are you committed to deepening your knowledge of complex care and mentoring others along the way?
