Most care jobs feel like you're drowning in paperwork and exhaustion, with barely time to connect with the young people you came to help. This one is different: a role in a thriving children's home where you'll be trusted, trained and genuinely supported to do the work that matters. If you've ever wondered what it would feel like to work somewhere that actually invests in you, this is it
Every morning you'll wake up knowing you're part of a team that's changing boys' lives. You'll support them through their daily routines, help them build confidence and self-esteem, and watch them grow resilience they never thought they had. The home has been shaped by the young people themselves, so there's real warmth here, not just systems and boxes to tick
You won't be doing this alone. Ofsted noted that staff here feel exceptionally well supported by their managers, who actively step in to help you focus on what you do best: building those crucial relationships with the young people. Monthly clinical supervision and therapeutic support are built in, not treated as a luxury
Your development matters as much as theirs. You'll get full training to achieve a Childcare Diploma, a professional development plan tailored to you, and regular opportunities to grow your skills. The team here has minimal turnover because people actually stay, because they feel valued and because they can see a real future

- Build and maintain positive, trusting relationships that help young people thrive and develop emotional self-regulation
- Safeguard and protect the welfare of vulnerable young people, promoting their individual interests and strengths
- Contribute to a safe, stimulating environment where young people can learn life skills and prepare for their future
