Most care jobs pay you only for time spent in clients' homes, leaving your travel between visits unpaid. This one is different: you'll be paid for every minute, including the journey between calls, plus 35p per mile if you drive. If you're reliable, compassionate, and ready to work flexibly in your local community, this could be the role that finally feels like it values your time
This is community-based care work where no two days are the same. You'll support people in their own homes - helping with personal care, medication, meal preparation, companionship, and daily living tasks. You'll be trusted to work independently, which means real autonomy and real responsibility. The people you care for depend on you, and that matters
What makes this different is how the provider treats its own team. Carers here stay for years because they feel genuinely supported and valued. You'll get paid induction and training, shadowing shifts to build your confidence, and ongoing development - whether you're completely new to care or bringing years of experience. The local team backs you up, not leaves you to figure it out alone
Full or part-time, morning, evening, or weekend shifts - you choose the pattern that fits your life, and they'll work around your availability where they can. Paid holiday, a welcome bonus, and a clear path towards the Care Certificate. This is a role where flexibility runs both ways, and where your work genuinely changes someone's independence and wellbeing every single day
What you will be doing
- Provide high-quality personal care and support to clients in their own homes, including assistance with washing, dressing, and daily living tasks
- Offer medication support, meal preparation, and companionship tailored to each person's needs
- Travel between client visits throughout your working day in the community - and you'll be paid for every moment of that travel time
- Work independently, using your judgment and compassion to promote each client's independence and wellbeing
- Communicate clearly with the local team about how clients are getting on and any changes you notice
Why you will love working here
- £14.24 per hour PLUS paid travel time between every care call - no unpaid journeys
- 35p per mile for drivers, plus a welcome bonus when you start
- Flexible shifts (full-time or part-time, mornings, evenings, weekends) - we work around your availability

- You're comfortable working independently in clients' homes and can travel between visits across the community
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred in most areas - which also means earning the 35p-per-mile contribution
- You have good communication skills and a genuinely patient, positive approach. Care experience is welcome but not essential - full training will be provided
