Most care jobs pay you only for the hours you're actually in someone's home, leaving you unpaid while you travel between clients. We're different. This role pays you for every minute of your working day - including all travel time between visits - plus mileage, flexible shifts, and a team that genuinely has your back
Imagine a care job where you're not constantly clock-watching or worried about petrol costs eating into your earnings. You'll work flexible shifts - mornings, evenings, or weekends, whatever suits your life - and you'll be paid £14.24 per hour for every bit of it: the care you deliver, the driving between clients, the lot. That's 35p per mile on top, so your time and effort are properly valued from day one
You'll be the trusted face in people's homes across Trafford and the surrounding community, helping with personal care, medication support, meal preparation, companionship and daily living tasks. No two days are the same. One visit you might be supporting someone with dementia to stay independent; the next you're there as a steady, caring presence. This is work that genuinely matters - and your clients will know it
We don't expect you to arrive fully formed. If you've worked in care before, brilliant - we'll build on that. If you're completely new, that's fine too. We'll give you paid induction, shadowing shifts with experienced staff, and support towards your Care Certificate. You'll have a friendly local team around you, not a faceless call centre, and real opportunities to develop and progress
What you will be doing
- Provide high-quality personal care and support to clients in their own homes across the community
- Support with medication, meal preparation, daily living tasks and promoting independence and wellbeing
- Travel between clients throughout the day (and get paid for every journey)
- Work flexibly across morning shifts, evening shifts and weekend availability, starting from around 7 am
- Build trust and companionship with vulnerable people, including those living with dementia
Why you will love working here
- £14.24 per hour PLUS paid travel time between every care call - no unpaid gaps
- 35p per mile for drivers, so your travel costs don't come out of your pocket
- Flexible working patterns: full-time, part-time, mornings, evenings, weekends - we work with your availability
- Paid induction and training from day one, plus support towards Care Certificate and ongoing development
- Welcome bonus and a friendly local team that actually supports you, not just manages you
Is this you?
- You have the right to work in the UK and a full UK driving licence (preferred in most areas)
- You have access to a vehicle and are comfortable travelling between client visits throughout the day
- You're reliable, professional and genuinely caring - someone people feel safe with
- You have good communication skills and a patient, positive approach even when things get tricky
- You're comfortable working independently in people's homes and flexible enough to adapt your shifts around the community's needs
