Picture your day: you're cycling with a young person who's learning to trust again, then helping cook dinner together, then sitting down to play PlayStation while you chat about what's really on their mind. You're a positive role model building real friendships, showing young people what it looks like to live well, and helping them discover they're capable of more than they thought
You'll work 14-hour shifts with sleep-in embedded, which means you're genuinely part of their world, not a visitor dropping in and disappearing. You get to see the real breakthroughs: the emotional walls come down, the household skills develop, the decisions they make about themselves get braver. You're supported by a registered manager and a caring team that has your back, and the provider invests heavily in your development because they know that great staff create great homes

What you will be doing
- Be part of a caring team providing a safe, loving home for children and young people with complex needs and emotional and behavioural difficulties, led by a registered manager
- Act as a positive role model in their everyday living: help with cooking, cleaning and household tasks that build independence and dignity
- Share in activities and hobbies together - football, PlayStation, cycling, baking - turning everyday moments into opportunities for connection and confidence
- Provide emotional and physical support during challenging situations, helping young people reach their full potential and building trusting relationships that last
- Empower young people to make decisions about themselves and find pleasure and meaning in what they do every day

Is this you?
- You have a full UK driving licence (essential for this role)
- You're naturally caring, flexible and resilient, with a genuine interest in young people and what their lives actually look like
- You communicate well, you're positive and energetic, and you can relate to people and get genuinely involved in their interests
- You're able to work flexibly including shifts and sleep-ins, because young people don't stop needing care at 5pm
- Experience in children's care is highly beneficial, but your attitude and commitment matter more than a perfect CV
