Most care jobs feel like you're just going through the motions, following routines and ticking boxes. This is different. We're looking for a Support Worker who genuinely wants to help adults with complex mental health needs build real lives, develop genuine skills, and feel safe and valued every single day

You'll work in a home where the focus is on prompting independence and creating a positive, supportive environment. This isn't about doing things for people - it's about walking alongside them as they learn to cook, manage their money, build hobbies they love, and handle health appointments with confidence. You'll see real progress and feel it matter

The team here invests in you properly. You get a full paid induction, access to QCF qualifications that actually open doors, and training that equips you to handle the complex and sometimes challenging needs you'll encounter. There's genuine career development built in, not just empty promises

With 5.6 weeks of annual leave, an Employee Assistance Programme you can actually use, and a pension matched up to 3%, this provider shows they value your wellbeing as much as your work. The pay is Real Living Wage - fair and transparent, reflecting your experience and qualifications from day one

What you will be doing

  • Deliver day-to-day support and routines for adults with mental health needs, some of whom may also have learning disabilities or dual diagnosis
  • Prompt independence by teaching life skills like budgeting, paying bills, shopping, cooking and cleaning - and encouraging people to do these things themselves
  • Support personal care, health needs and accompany people to appointments, including administering medication where required
  • Provide physical and emotional support through challenging moments, and nurture hobbies and interests that help people thrive

Why you will love working here

  • £14.05 - £14.75 per hour, 35 hours per week, paid as a Real Living Wage employer with transparent pay scales that recognise your experience
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave including public holidays, plus a matched pension contribution of up to 3% to help you save for retirement
  • Your Enhanced DBS check is fully funded, and you get access to QCF qualifications and real career development opportunities
  • Blue Light Card discounts at high street retailers and days out, Circle wellbeing hub with exercise, nutrition and counselling support, plus an Employee Assistance Programme available confidentially whenever you need it
  • Refer a friend and share a £500 bonus when they complete probation - plus a paid comprehensive induction to set you up for success from day one

Is this you?

  • Are you 18 or over and able to get an Enhanced DBS check (which we'll pay for completely)
  • Do you have genuine patience and the ability to stay calm when supporting people with complex or challenging needs
  • Are you reliable, organised and comfortable with both personal care and domestic tasks like cooking and cleaning
  • Do you want to work in a service where your ideas matter and you can actually see the impact of your work on people's lives
