Most bank care work feels like you're always on standby, never quite part of a real team. This home in Surrey is different: they invest properly in their bank staff, pay weekend enhancements without fuss, and build rotas around genuine flexibility rather than last-minute scrambles. If you want care work that fits your life and actually values what you bring, read on
You'll be stepping into a home that genuinely prioritises high-standard care. The residents here aren't just cases to manage; they're individuals whose quality of life improves because of the attention and warmth you bring to your shifts. Your job is to help them live as full and enjoyable a life as their health permits, whether that's supporting personal care routines, helping with meaningful activities, or simply being present and interested
What sets this apart is the team you'll join. Bank staff aren't treated as afterthoughts here. You get full training, either in the home itself or at their dedicated training centre, so you're never walking in blind. The home prides itself on high standards, which means proper induction, proper support, and colleagues who actually know you
Shifts are structured and predictable: typically 7.30am-2.00pm, 2.00pm-8.00pm, or 8.00am-8.00pm, weekdays and weekends. Bank cover as and when required means you control your availability. And you'll earn £12.71 per hour on weekdays, jumping to £13.71 at weekends - no haggling, it's automatic. Uniform and equipment are supplied, so you turn up ready to work
What you will be doing

- Take a genuine interest in residents' lives and actively support them in living as fully as possible
