Most care jobs feel like you're just going through the motions, clocking in and out without real connection or progression. But this role is different: you'll be supporting vulnerable adults in their own homes, building genuine relationships, and gaining full professional training while earning proper pay. If you're looking for meaningful work that actually develops your skills and respects your time, this could be it

Picture this: you arrive at a client's home, and they light up because they know you're coming. Over the coming weeks and months, you become someone they can trust completely. You help them maintain their independence, support them with personal care tailored to their needs, and make sure their medication is managed properly. You're not just a care worker, you're part of their world, and they know you genuinely care

What sets this apart is the training and support behind you. From day one, you get full in-house and online training, including the Care Certificate and NVQs, so you're never fumbling in the dark. Your team leader and care coordinator have your back, and you're encouraged to progress through the company as you grow. Real careers get built here, not just shifts covered

The rota works with your life, not against it: four days on, four days off, including weekends. That means proper time to recharge, pursue other interests, and actually have a rhythm to your week. You're paid up to £12.50 an hour (more if you're a driver), you get holiday pay, and there's a company pension putting something away for your future

What you will be doing

  • Provide person-centred personal care and domestic support to vulnerable adults in their homes, following individual care plans and respecting their preferences and independence
  • Manage continence care and medication administration, ensuring clients receive support with dignity and all tasks are recorded properly
  • Use and maintain moving and handling equipment safely, following manufacturer's instructions and reporting any faults to your team leader immediately
  • Follow strict infection control procedures, wearing PPE correctly and maintaining hygiene standards throughout every visit
  • Communicate openly with your team, attending staff meetings and reporting any incidents, accidents or concerns about your ability to reach scheduled visits on time
  • Monitor clients' hydration, nutrition and wellbeing, recording any changes in appetite or weight and flagging these to your care coordinator

Why you will love working here

  • Full training provided in-house and online, including Care Certificate and NVQs, so you start confident and keep growing throughout your career
  • Pay up to £12.50 an hour (more if you drive), plus holiday pay, company pension, and a refer-a-friend scheme where you earn for bringing good people into the team
  • A rota that respects your time: four days on, four days off, so you actually get proper breaks and a life outside work
  • Real progression opportunities within the company if you want to move up, backed by training and a supportive team who invest in their people

Is this you?

  • You hold a full UK driving licence and have reliable access to a car (this helps you reach clients' homes efficiently, and we pay more if you drive)
  • You're available to work either 06:00-15:00 or 15:00-23:00, and you're genuinely flexible with weekends and occasional cover shifts
  • You're reliable, observant and caring, someone who can show up on time and build trust with vulnerable people quickly
  • You can commit to the 4-on, 4-off rota pattern and live in or can reliably commute to the Staffordshire area
  • You're willing to learn: whether you're experienced in care or brand new to the sector, you're ready to gain qualifications and develop your skills
