Most care jobs feel like you're just getting through the shifts. This one isn't like that. We're looking for someone who genuinely wants to help young people build confidence, create memories and discover their strengths - and we'll support your growth every step of the way
Imagine a role where no two days are the same. You're helping a young person explore the outdoors one moment, celebrating a real milestone the next. You're the steady presence that helps them feel safe, cared for and valued. That's what this home does - it creates the stable, nurturing space where children actually flourish
You'll be part of a growing organisation that invests in its people. They fund your Level 4 qualification and specialist training from day one, and they mean it when they talk about career progression. This isn't a dead-end shift work role - it's a genuine pathway into senior positions for people who want to build a real career in residential care
Working a 2 days on, 4 days off rota with sleep-ins gives you genuine time away to recharge and live your life, while earning £32,425 to £34,501 depending on your experience. You'll get free meals on shift, free parking, funded development, and a team that actually backs you up when things get challenging
What you will be doing
- Support young people to feel safe, cared for and inspired in a family-style home environment
- Build their independence, confidence and life skills through day-to-day care and meaningful activities
- Encourage access to education, hobbies and activities that matter to them
- Be a calm, positive role model and influence - especially on days that feel challenging
- Create lasting memories and positive experiences through play, exploration and shared family moments
Why you will love working here
- Fully funded Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner qualification if you don't already have it
- Specialist training and continuous professional development throughout your career with us
- Clear pathway into senior roles and real career progression - not just more of the same shifts
- A rota that actually works: 2 days on, 4 days off means genuine time to recover and live your life, plus free meals and parking on shift
