Most care jobs trap you in the same four walls, doing tasks instead of building lives. This is different. You'll work across homes, schools, and communities, meeting young people where they actually are, using your own initiative to unlock real change and watch it stick
Picture yourself walking into a family home in the morning, spotting a young person who's been isolated and struggling. By the end of your shift, you've helped them map out a goal, connected them with something they actually care about, and seen the relief on a parent's face knowing someone gets it. That's the work here. You're not managing a building or filling time. You're meeting children and young people in their real lives, helping them find their own strength, rebuild trust, and move towards independence
You'll be trusted to work alone, make decisions on the ground, and know that your manager has your back. The service invests seriously in your development: fully funded specialist training in trauma-informed practice, youth intervention, safeguarding, and child development. You'll get proper supervision and reflective space to process the work and grow. If you want to move into senior roles, the pathway is clear
The team here believes every young person deserves support that actually empowers them, not just manages them. You'll be part of a culture that celebrates what works, shares learning, and shows up for each other with allocated funding for team-building throughout the year. The flexibility is real too: evenings, weekends, community settings, lone working across your area. This is a role for someone who wants variety, autonomy, and the certainty that their work matters
