Most care jobs ask you to do everything on a shoestring and give you nothing back. This isn't one of them. We're looking for someone who genuinely wants to make older adults' lives better every single day, and we're ready to invest in you as part of a team that actually values what you do
Picture yourself in a purpose-built home where residents have space, comfort and round-the-clock support. You're not just ticking boxes; you're genuinely responsive to what each person needs. One resident needs help with morning routines and medication. Another needs a listening ear and someone to arrange transport to see their GP. You're the person who notices the difference, who builds trust, and who makes this place feel like home
You'll be part of a team that actually invests in people. That means you're training newer staff members, sharing what you know, and growing your own skills through proper professional development. The senior staff here aren't gatekeeping knowledge; they're actively building the next generation of thoughtful carers. That's how good teams are made
The home runs 24/7, and so does the support network around you. You're answering the nurse call system, you're doing regular wellness checks, you're keeping records sharp and handovers tight. It matters because residents' health and safety depend on it. And because it's done well, the whole place runs smoother, less stressful, more human
What you will be doing
- Support residents with all aspects of daily living - toileting, bathing, medication, and personal care - delivered with genuine compassion and a person-centred approach
- Answer the nurse call system promptly and respond to residents' requests with professionalism and warmth
- Train and supervise junior and new staff members in their day-to-day duties, helping them become confident and skilled
- Keep careful records and handover documentation completed on time, so nothing falls through the cracks
- Carry out regular wellness checks on residents at intervals set by senior staff, and report any concerns to GPs and support managers
- Answer the door and telephone, manage messages, and be the friendly face that keeps communication flowing
Why you will love working here
- £13.32 per hour - proper pay for proper work
- Professional development support so you can grow your skills and confidence in care
- Refer a friend scheme and long-service awards that actually recognise your loyalty
- Blue Light Card discount and the genuine satisfaction of working in a warm, welcoming home where your work is seen and valued
Is this you?
- You've got genuine care experience and you actually enjoy working with older adults - you see them as people, not tasks
- You're organised and reliable enough to complete records properly and keep handovers tight, because detail matters
- You're patient, responsive and can stay calm under pressure when a resident needs you or when things get busy
- You're keen to learn and develop, and ideally you've got some experience helping newer staff members find their way
