Most care jobs feel like you're running on a treadmill: exhausted, undervalued, and wondering if anyone notices the difference you make. This isn't one of those. We're looking for someone who genuinely cares about older adults and wants to work somewhere that actually invests in their people and treats them like family
Picture this: you arrive at a purpose-built home that feels warm and lived-in, not institutional. The residents know your name. You spend your shift doing what care should be - helping someone get washed and dressed with dignity, sitting with them at mealtimes, supporting their mobility with patience and skill. You're not just ticking boxes; you're genuinely improving someone's day
The team here gets it. They encourage training and self-development because they know that when you grow, the residents win. You'll be part of a small, friendly group where people actually know each other's names, where your ideas matter, and where long-term commitment is recognised and rewarded. The Blue Light Card alone saves you money on hundreds of everyday purchases
This is the kind of work that sticks with you - the good kind. Where at the end of a shift, you know you've made a real difference to real people. And the provider backs that up: Employee of the Month recognition, long-term service awards, professional development that actually happens, and the chance to earn extra by referring friends who get it too
What you will be doing
- Assist residents with personal care including washing, dressing and maintaining dignity and independence
- Support residents with meals - helping with eating and drinking at mealtimes
- Complete daily care plans accurately so the whole team knows what's been done and what each person needs
- Assist with mobility, helping residents move safely around the home
Why you will love working here
- £12.82 per hour to start, with Blue Light Card discounts on hundreds of retailers
- Employee of the Month and long-term service awards because your work gets noticed
- Real professional development opportunities - not just words
- Refer a Friend scheme so you can earn extra and build the team with people you trust
Is this you?
- You care genuinely about older adults and want to make their day better
- You're reliable and show up ready to work - this isn't a job you wing
- You can be patient, compassionate and responsive to individual needs
- You're open to training and developing yourself in this role
