Most care jobs feel like you're just ticking boxes and moving on to the next task. But what if your work actually let you build real relationships, celebrate wins with your team, and grow into something bigger than yourself? This bank role at a 36-bed home in South Ruislip is different - it's built on genuine person-centred care where compassion isn't a buzzword, it's how you work every single day

Picture this: you're supporting a young person through their morning routine, then later you're cheering them on at a dance session that's genuinely lifted their mood. The home sits on one and a half acres of gardens where residents and staff actually spend time together - wine evenings under the stars, strolls through blossoming pathways, real community moments that matter. That's the culture here

What makes this different is the team. They're genuinely invested in each other's growth. You'll see staff signing up for professional development because the home actually champions it. There's an Employee of the Month scheme and long-term service awards - recognition that sticks around. When you refer a friend and they join, you both benefit. It's a place where people stay because they want to, not because they have to

As a bank worker, you get flexibility without being invisible. You're part of a close-knit community from day one, not a face nobody knows. The focus is on establishing real, person-centred approaches to care - meaning your individual judgment and warmth actually count. No experience required; just bring your values and willingness to show up for young people who need you

What you will be doing

  • Provide personal care support including assisting with washing, dressing and mobility
  • Support residents with meals, helping with eating and drinking at their own pace
  • Complete daily care plans that reflect each young person's progress and needs
  • Be part of creating a warm, friendly, healthy and safe environment where residents feel valued

Why you will love working here

  • £13.32 per hour with genuine flexibility through bank working
  • Professional development opportunities so you can grow your skills and move forward in care
  • Blue Light Card for discounts across the high street
  • Employee of the Month and long-term service awards that actually recognise your contribution
  • Refer a Friend scheme - bring someone you know and you both benefit

Is this you?

  • You share genuine values around compassion and person-centred care - not just the words, but the commitment
  • You're responsive to individual needs and can adapt your approach depending on what each young person needs that day
  • You're reliable and trustworthy; bank work means your colleagues depend on you to show up when the rota calls
  • You're keen to develop yourself - whether that's your first care role or you're building on existing experience
