What you will be doing
- Encourage young people to play active roles in their communities and build real independence - not just depend on you
- Support activities of daily living: personal care, meals, budgeting, routines and social activities tailored to each person's needs
- Communicate effectively using the methods that work for each individual - whether that's speech, visual supports, or something else entirely
- Engage and motivate the young people you support, using positive behavioural approaches where needed to help them thrive
- Keep accurate records and report changes in health, wellbeing or circumstances to the management team so nothing gets missed
- Work as part of a tight team, taking initiative, problem-solving together and building a culture where everyone knows they matter
