You'll be working in supported living properties where your role is to unlock independence, not create dependency. What you will be doing
- Support young people to live as independently as possible in their own homes, helping them develop and maintain daily living skills like cooking, budgeting, personal care and managing routines
- Actively encourage and motivate the people you support to play active roles in their local communities, promoting choice and independence at every turn
- Communicate effectively with young people using their chosen methods - including non-verbal communication, visual supports and other tailored approaches
- Use positive behavioural support strategies where needed, supporting young people with complex needs to manage their behaviour and emotions
- Keep accurate records and report any changes in health, wellbeing or circumstances to management, ensuring nothing slips through the net
- Work as a team player while using your own initiative; contribute to a service that consistently delivers outstanding person-centred outcomes

- You have at least 12 months of right to work in the UK and the documentation to prove it
- You're enthusiastic, have genuine people skills and bring a positive, proactive approach to supporting young people with complex needs
- You have experience or a real commitment to supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and/or mental health challenges
- You're able to work flexibly - whether that's full-time, part-time or on a bank (as-and-when) basis to suit your life
- You're someone who can communicate warmly with young people and their families, and work collaboratively with a wider team
