Most care jobs feel like you're just getting through the day. But this one? This is about being part of a team that actually sees each resident as a whole person, celebrates their life every single day, and invests in you growing alongside them. If you've ever wondered what it would feel like to work somewhere that genuinely lives its values, read on

Picture this: you arrive for your shift at a purpose-built home designed around comfort and connection. There's a cosy bar where residents share stories, a cinema room where real laughter happens, gardens that feel like an escape. Your job isn't to manage a checklist - it's to help people live well. You're assisting with personal care, supporting mealtimes, helping someone get mobile and independent, updating their care plans with detail that actually matters. Every interaction is an opportunity to show someone they're valued

What makes this different is the team around you. This isn't a place where you're left to figure it out alone. The home actively builds its team by encouraging training and self-development for everyone. You'll work alongside people who share the same commitment to person-centred care that you do. New to care? Perfect - they don't expect experience, just your compassion and willingness to learn. Experienced? You'll find people who respect that and want you to grow further

The residents here aren't just clients. They're people whose daily lives matter. You'll be responsive to individual needs, creating a warm and healthy environment where both residents and staff feel genuinely safe. That's not corporate speak - that's what actually happens when you work somewhere that treats care as a calling, not a job

What you will be doing

  • Provide personal care support: helping residents with washing, dressing and all their daily needs
  • Support mealtimes with sensitivity and patience, assisting with eating and drinking as needed
  • Complete daily care plans that capture what you've observed and what matters about that person's day
  • Help residents with mobility and independence, encouraging them to do as much as they can for themselves

Why you will love working here

  • £12.82 per hour to start, with long-term service awards as you build your career here
  • Professional development support so you can grow into the care worker (or beyond) that you want to become
  • Blue Light Card access as an extra thank you for the work you do
  • Refer a Friend scheme - because if you love working here, why not help others discover it too?

Is this you?

  • You're drawn to care work because you genuinely care about people - no experience necessary, just real compassion
  • You can be responsive and warm, reading what someone needs even when they can't always tell you
  • You're willing to learn and grow. The home invests in training and development, and you're ready to take advantage of that
  • You share the values of person-centred care: seeing the whole person, not just the tasks
