Most care jobs feel like you're just ticking boxes and getting through the shift. But this role? You'll actually be part of a young person's life - showing up for their biggest moments and their hardest days, and watching them transform because you're there. This is a home where the work genuinely matters, and where the team invests in you as much as you invest in them

Picture this: it's Saturday morning and you're helping one of the young people you support get ready for something they're excited about. Maybe it's football practice or going go-karting. Three months ago, that same young person barely spoke to staff. Now they're laughing, making plans, getting their childhood back. That's the work you'll be doing here - those small victories that actually feel huge. You'll be making memories that stick, and creating real pathways for young people with social, emotional and mental health needs to become well-rounded adults

Every day looks different. Morning might be getting the young people up and ready for school, helping with homework, maybe planning an activity. Evenings and weekends are where the real connection happens - Xbox tournaments, film days, cooking together, going out. The work runs on genuine relationships, not just tasks. You tap into each young person's personality and potential, and guide them toward something better. It's never dull, and it's never just a job

The team here genuinely backs each other. You'll get a full 4-week induction with experienced professionals to make sure you feel confident and ready. If you don't have your Level 3 Diploma yet, they'll pay for you to study and support you every step. Career progression is real - most of the team leaders and managers have been promoted from within, and there's an 'Aspire' programme if you want to move into management. This isn't a place where you plateau; it's a place where you grow

What you will be doing

  • Be part of the young people's day-to-day lives - getting them up and ready for school, helping with homework, supporting their routines and creating stability
  • Plan and lead activities that matter: from game nights and sports to trips out, building trust and creating positive memories
  • Complete required paperwork and contribute to care planning that shapes each young person's pathway forward
  • Work evenings, weekends and sleep-ins (up to 4 per month), where most of the real connection and informal learning happens
  • Stay alert to each young person's emotional and behavioural needs, and respond with empathy and resilience when things get challenging

Why you will love working here

  • Real money: base salary of £29,034 to £35,400, plus £80 per sleep-in (up to 4 per month) and an Attendance Allowance of £1,400 - that's up to £40,640 per year assuming good attendance
  • 7 weeks' holiday to actually recharge - not a thank-you note, actual time off
  • A flexible benefits package where you can tailor your holiday, pension and life insurance to suit your life, plus medical cover for opticians, dentist, and high-street discounts
  • Proper training: a full 4-week Care Academy induction, and if you need your Level 3 Diploma, they'll pay for it and support you through it
  • A home with beautiful facilities and real progression - most managers started where you'll start, and the pathway up is genuine
  • A recommend-a-friend scheme worth £1,000 every time someone joins
  • Meals provided while you're at work and genuine wellbeing support including an employee assistance programme

Is this you?

  • You've got a 'can do' attitude and you're genuinely a team player - someone who rolls up their sleeves and helps others without being asked
  • You actually care about young people and each other - honesty and empathy aren't just words to you, they're how you show up
  • You can handle challenging situations without falling apart; resilience is your default
  • You hold a full UK driving licence that you've had for at least 12 months
  • You don't need experience in care - we'll train you - but you do need to be someone who sees young people as individuals with potential, not problems to manage
