Most care jobs feel like you're just getting by, clocking in and out with little thanks and even less chance to grow. This is different. We're looking for someone who genuinely believes that small moments of breakthrough with a young person matter, and who wants to be part of a team that celebrates those wins and actually invests in your future
Imagine clocking in knowing that today you might help a teenager who's been struggling with their mental health get ready for school with confidence. You'll be there for homework help, for Xbox marathons on Friday nights, for the conversation that changes how they see themselves. Evenings and weekends aren't paperwork shifts - they're go-karting trips, film days, football in the garden. This is real life, lived alongside young people who've had it rough and who need adults who actually show up for them
Our homes support young people with social, emotional and mental health needs, and every single day you'll be tapping into what makes each person unique. The role demands resilience and genuine empathy, but the payoff is profound: you'll watch young people find their way toward adulthood with someone they trust genuinely in their corner. That's not a job description - that's a calling with a proper salary attached
We don't throw you in the deep end. You start with a full 4-week induction through our Care Academy, learning alongside experienced professionals until you feel genuinely ready. Most of our team leaders and managers were once in exactly your seat - promoted from within because they proved themselves and took advantage of our Aspire future managers programme. Career progression here is real, not a pipe dream
What you will be doing
- Support young people with their day-to-day routines - getting them up and ready for school, helping with homework, planning activities that actually excite them
- Create a safe, consistent presence in their lives: being there for the highs and lows, offering genuine emotional support and guidance
- Manage evenings and weekends with energy and imagination - film nights, sports, outings, gaming sessions - keeping the home running smoothly while young people are relaxed and engaged
- Complete the necessary paperwork and contribute to care planning that reflects each young person's needs and progress
- Work as part of a team that celebrates the small victories and learns from challenges together
Why you will love working here
- Base salary of £29,034 to £35,400, plus £80 for each sleep-in shift (up to 4 per month, adding roughly £3,840 yearly) plus a £1,400 attendance allowance - meaning top earners hit £40,640
- 7 weeks' holiday per year because we believe in rewarding hard work with proper rest
- A flexible benefits package where you control your own pension, life insurance and holiday allowance to suit your life, plus medical cover for opticians, dentist costs and high-street discounts
- Meals provided while you're working, beautiful homes with excellent facilities, and a genuine wellbeing programme with employee assistance support
- A refer-a-friend scheme paying £1,000 every time someone joins - build your network and get rewarded
Is this you?
- You're a genuine team player with a 'can do' attitude - someone who rolls up their sleeves and helps others without being asked
- You have real empathy and honesty: you actually care about young people and the people you work alongside, not just the idea of it
- You can handle challenging situations with resilience and keep your perspective when things get tough
- You hold a full UK driving licence that you've held for at least 12 months
- You don't need experience in care - but you do need to want it. If you don't have a Level 3 Diploma, we'll pay for you to study and support you every step
