Most care jobs ask you to squeeze your life around their rota. This one doesn't. We're recruiting for a brand new home in Lancashire where you'll work shifts that actually fit your personal commitments, support young adults with real complexity and genuine mental health needs, and grow into a highly skilled professional from day one - whether you're completely new to care or coming from a social care background
Picture yourself working in a spacious, modern 10-bedroom bungalow with 2 additional apartments, opened in 2020 and built specifically to support people with mental health conditions like bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and personality disorder. This isn't institutional: it's a close-knit community where colleagues build real bonds with the people they support, helping to create the kind of enduring relationships that actually change lives. You'll be part of a team that gets out, does things, makes memories - days out, trips away, activities chosen around what each person actually enjoys and needs
The role itself is hands-on and varied. You'll be providing personal care, administering medication, helping residents engage in hobbies and outings, following care plans, and keeping careful records. You'll develop an open, honest and considerate working relationship with the people you support. Every single day you're doing work that matters - work that builds someone's confidence and self-esteem, not just ticking boxes
Here's the bit that makes this different: the training is free, genuinely excellent, and mapped out as a career path from your first week. We'll put you through Adult Care Worker Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications. There's an Advanced Management Development Programme if you're management material, and a Foundation Management Development Programme for rising stars. You're not just getting a job; you're getting a profession
