What you will be doing
- Provide personal care including bathing, toileting, dressing and help with feeding, treating it as a genuine relationship-building opportunity, not a task to rush through
- Administer medication safely and maintain detailed daily records that reflect the residents' lives, progress and wellbeing
- Plan and join in with activities, hobbies and outings that matter to each resident - everything from pottery and dancing to local trips and holiday breaks
- Follow individual care plans and the home's policies, while building open, honest relationships with the residents and developing the trust that makes this work meaningful
- Work a shift pattern including weekends on a rota basis, with flexibility available if you need it to fit your personal life
