What you will be doing
- Provide day-to-day care and support for young people living in the home, building relationships that help them feel safe and understood
- Help with practical life skills and daily routines - meals, personal care, homework support, activities - the real stuff that makes a home work
- Work flexibly within the rota to cover waking shifts and sleep-in duties as part of the team schedule
- Support young people through difficult moments, using de-escalation and the approaches the team has agreed, always keeping safety at the heart
- Communicate clearly with colleagues and managers about what's happening with each young person, and work together to solve problems

- You've got experience working with young people - in a care setting, school, youth work, or somewhere else where you've learned what it actually takes to support them

- You're genuinely interested in understanding young people rather than just managing them; you ask questions and want to do better
- You're willing to learn and adapt; you know there's always more to understand about trauma, attachment, behaviour and what works
