Picture your week: you're part of a 2:1 staffed team in a residential home where safety is built in, not bolted on. You're not stretched thin or covering gaps. You'll be documenting their world with precision: emotions, interactions, conversations, food diaries, daily routines. It matters because it tracks their progress and keeps them safe. You'll help manage their money, support them through household routines from breakfast to bedtime, engage them in activities that build skills and independence. Within weeks you'll complete the TMVA training course - that's £500 worth of real skills in de-escalation and supporting young people through crisis. You'll get ongoing online training too. If you hold a Level 3 in Health and Social Care or similar, you're already ahead. If not, you'll build toward it. This is a provider that grows people, not just fills rotas
What you will be doing
- Provide day-to-day physical and emotional support to children and young people with a range of mental, physical and learning disabilities, including personal care and household tasks
- Write detailed daily notes recording emotions, interactions, conversations, food intake and routines - keeping meticulous records that track progress and inform care decisions
- Work alongside colleagues to implement individual care plans and risk assessments, support learning programmes, and build independence through structured activities and experiences
- Manage young people's money, keeping accurate receipts and records for every transaction
- Identify and report safeguarding concerns immediately, and support young people through routines including waking, mealtimes, bedtimes, education and appointments
- Maintain professional relationships with family members and external healthcare professionals, always adhering to policies and procedures

- You hold a DBS Certificate (or we can help you get one) and ideally a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or similar - though we'll train you either way
- A driving licence is preferred because placements can be spread across locations
