What you will be doing
- Support children through daily routines including getting them up, ensuring they eat well, managing cleaning and cooking in the home, and creating space for education and health appointments
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the young people and the key people in their lives - parents, schools, social workers, health services - and advocate fiercely for their rights
- Lead social, recreational, health and educational activities that help children engage positively in their communities and experience fun and connection
- Contribute to care plans, undertake keyworker responsibilities including preparing for and attending statutory reviews, and keep meticulous, timely records using the home's reporting systems
- Identify safeguarding issues as they arise and keep your senior team updated; understand and apply the 9 Quality Standards in your daily practice
