Most care jobs feel like you're just going through the motions - understaffed, under-trained, and with little room to grow. This isn't one of them. We're looking for someone ready to build real relationships with young people who have complex needs, learn proper therapeutic skills from day one, and actually progress their career while making a tangible difference

Imagine clocking in knowing you're part of a close-knit team that genuinely invests in you. You'll work with young people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions and associated complex needs - the kind of work that tests you and teaches you in equal measure. But here's the thing: you won't be learning on the job alone. Every member of staff is fully trained in Positive Behavioural Support, with specialist therapeutic services woven into everything you do, so you're never fumbling in the dark

The young people here aren't just residents - they're part of a community built on trust and unconditional care. Your shift might involve helping someone prepare for a day out they've been looking forward to, supporting them through a hobby they love, or simply being the person they can rely on. You'll maintain their care plans, handle medication administration, and keep detailed records - but you'll also be the one who notices when they're making progress, when they're gaining confidence, when life is getting better

This provider doesn't just talk about career development - they actually do it. You'll have access to free, in-house training including their Advanced Management Development Programme if you're aiming higher. Whether you're completely new to care or stepping across from another background, they'll mentor you to become genuinely skilled. And they mean it about flexibility too: if your personal commitments need a particular working pattern, they'll work with you to find it

What you will be doing

  • Provide personal care including bathing, toileting, dressing and feeding support
  • Administer medication and maintain accurate written daily records
  • Support young people with daily activities, hobbies and outings - helping create days they actually enjoy
  • Follow care plan guidance and company procedures while building open, honest relationships with the young people you support
  • Attend and complete training as required, developing your Positive Behavioural Support expertise

Why you will love working here

  • 30 hours per week at £13.45/hour, with flexibility built in to suit your real life
  • 28 days' holiday starting from day one (inclusive of Bank Holidays), plus a paid day off on your birthday and a Christmas bonus
  • Free, comprehensive in-house training in Positive Behavioural Support and complex care, with a clear career path from day one
  • Serious staff benefits: Employee Assistance Programme, refer-a-friend payments of £500, Choiceversary vouchers (£75 at 5 years, £100 at 10 years, £150 at 15 years), life insurance, monthly prize draws with tax-free £500 wins for frontline staff, Blue Light Card eligibility, and Stream financial wellbeing app access
  • Work in a close-knit community where your relationships with the young people actually matter and where you can see real, meaningful progress

Is this you?

  • You hold a full or provisional UK driving licence (essential for this role)
  • You're patient, reliable, flexible and a natural team player who communicates well
  • You're willing to work shifts including weekends on a rota basis
  • Whether you're brand new to care or coming from a social care background, you're genuinely motivated to help young people with complex needs progress
