What you will be doing
- Provide direct support and supervision to young people in the residential setting, helping them navigate daily routines, relationships and challenges
- Create a safe, stable and nurturing environment where young people feel secure enough to learn and grow
- Work with the team to plan and deliver activities that engage the young people and support their wellbeing and development
- Respond calmly and confidently to behaviour and safeguarding situations, using de-escalation and protective strategies as needed
- Build relationships with the young people's families and work collaboratively with external professionals - social workers, therapists, teachers and others - to support each young person's plan
