Picture this: you walk into a home where children are thriving. They're rollerblading in the park, baking together in the kitchen, getting lost in Minecraft, playing chess, exploring VR experiences. Your job is to be the steady, caring presence who makes that possible - the adult they can trust, who notices what they need, and who celebrates the small wins that matter most
You'll work long shifts (7.30am to 11pm, with sleep-in nights built in) as part of a permanent, full-time team in a service running 365 days a year. The home is rated Good by Ofsted, which means the systems are solid and the team knows what they're doing. You'll get a proper, BILD-accredited induction that actually prepares you for the role. What you will be doing
- Deliver day-to-day care and emotional support to the young people in the home, keeping them safe and helping them feel genuinely cared for
- Be part of the rota: long shifts during the day, waking nights, and sleep-in shifts that fit the home's 365-day schedule
- Help create the life of the home - activities, meals, conversations, homework support, trips out, the everyday rhythms that young people rely on
- Work as part of a dedicated team, supporting colleagues and being supported by them, with clear communication and shared values around how you treat the young people

Is this you?
- You have experience in childcare or the wider care sector - you know what it means to support vulnerable young people and you're skilled at it
- You hold a full UK driving licence and are able to work in the UK without sponsorship
- You're 21 or older, reliable, and genuinely ready for a permanent, full-time role with structured long shifts including sleep-ins
- You bring consistency, compassion and resilience - the kind of person who stays calm under pressure and doesn't give up on kids who are struggling
