The Moorings is a three-bedroom children's home built on crisis intervention and trauma-informed care. You'll be working with young people who need stability, consistency, and adults who actually care about their outcomes. The rotas are given in advance, so no surprises on your days off. You work long shifts from 8am to 11pm with sleep nights built in, which means proper money for your work and genuine time to recharge between rotas
Every young person here gets activities tailored to what they actually love: cinema trips, swimming, sports, whatever speaks to them. You'll be part of that. What you will be doing
- Provide high-quality, trauma-informed residential care to young people in crisis, working long shifts from 8am to 11pm with sleep nights averaged at 8 per month across the rota
- Plan and deliver recreational activities matched to each young person's interests: cinema trips, swimming, sports, and whatever else helps them thrive
- Build consistent, nurturing relationships with the children in the home, giving them the stability and support they need to work towards amazing outcomes
- Work as part of a residential team, communicating daily around each child's needs and contributing to a safe, fair and therapeutic environment
- Complete accurate records and engage with ongoing training to keep your knowledge and practice sharp
