You'll be supporting a diverse group of people across our schemes in Freshwater, Ryde and the Bay area - older adults, individuals with learning disabilities or autism, people managing mental health needs, and those with more complex support requirements. The team here genuinely backs each other up. You're not thrown in at the deep end - full training is provided at no cost, and you'll work towards your NVQ Level 2 in Care with proper support alongside the job. The Island setting means you're working flexibly across supported housing schemes and into people's homes - no two days are quite the same. You'll be part of a real team, but you'll also have autonomy and ownership of the relationships you build with the people you support. What you will be doing
- Deliver personalised care and support in line with individual care plans, promoting independence, choice and inclusion across our supported housing schemes and local community
- Support people with their wellbeing, safety and daily living needs, including moving and handling tasks, tailored to each person's unique requirements
- Maintain accurate records and reports using basic IT systems, and communicate clearly with the wider team about each person's progress and any concerns
- Work flexibly across the Island - evenings, weekends, sleep-in duties and on-call rotas as required - responding calmly and professionally in emergency and challenging situations
- Champion safeguarding, dignity and anti-discriminatory practice in everything you do, with confidence following procedures and reporting concerns appropriately

- You're comfortable working in a CQC regulated care environment and you take safeguarding seriously - it's not just a tick-box for you, it's how you work
- You have the physical ability to undertake moving and handling tasks, and you stay calm and professional when things get challenging or urgent
- You hold a minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English, and you're willing to work towards your NVQ Level 2 in Care
- You're genuinely flexible - happy to work evenings, weekends, sleep-in duties and on-call rotas where required, and able to travel across the Island to support people in different settings
- No previous experience is required - what matters is that you're committed to making a positive difference and ready to be trained properly
