Most care jobs feel transactional: clock in, deliver tasks, clock out. But this role on the Isle of Wight is different. You'll be part of a CQC regulated care home where person-centred care isn't just policy, it's how the team actually works. If you want a job where you genuinely improve people's lives every shift, and where your employer invests in your growth from day one, this is it
Picture yourself walking into a welcoming home environment where residents know they're valued and their dignity matters. You're supporting people with their daily needs - personal care, mobility, medication, wellbeing - but you're doing it their way, following personalised care plans that put their independence and choices first. Some days you're helping someone get ready with confidence. Other days you're spotting what someone needs before they ask. Every shift feels different, and that's what makes it real
You're not doing this alone. You'll report to a Senior Care Worker who has your back, and you'll be part of a team that actually understands person-centred care isn't a buzzword, it's how they operate. The home is CQC regulated, which means standards are high and support is structured. You'll work a rota across early mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends - flexibility that works for real life on the Island
Here's the thing that changes everything: this provider is serious about developing you. You'll get full training and support to work towards your NVQ Level 2 in Care while you're earning. No experience required. Just compassion, reliability and a genuine want to do this work well. That investment in your future isn't unusual here, it's standard
