Most part-time care jobs feel like you're fitting work around your life. This one lets you build a real career, on your terms, in a CQC regulated home where residents actually matter and staff are trusted to make decisions. If you've got genuine compassion and 16 hours a week to give, this could be the role that changes how you see care work

Picture yourself walking into a residential care home in Ventnor where people remember your name, where your shift pattern works for you (early mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends on a rota you can plan around), and where the residents you support genuinely look forward to seeing you. You're not rushing through tasks. You're delivering real, person-centred care that lets people keep their dignity, their independence and their say in how they live

Every day is genuinely different. One shift you're supporting someone with personal care and mobility. The next you're following a tailored care plan, checking medications are taken safely, spotting when someone needs extra support with their wellbeing. You're working alongside a Senior Care Worker who has your back, and a team that knows that creating a safe, welcoming home matters more than ticking boxes

This provider is one of the largest housing organisations in the UK, with real stability and real resources. That means proper training, proper support, and a genuine commitment to getting it right. You'll work towards your NVQ Level 2 in Care, with full training provided. No previous experience needed. Just reliability, compassion, and the willingness to learn on the job

  • Deliver care that promotes independence, choice and inclusion, treating residents with dignity at all times
  • Help create and maintain a safe, welcoming home environment where residents feel comfortable and supported
  • Work flexible shifts across early mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends, including occasional on-call duties
  • Keep accurate records using basic IT systems and communicate effectively with colleagues and residents

Why you will love working here

  • £11,190 per annum for 16 hours per week (FTE £24,479 pa) plus benefits
  • Full training and support provided, including working towards your NVQ Level 2 in Care
  • Part-time hours that fit your life, with flexible shift patterns across the week

  • You're comfortable working flexibly on a rota including evenings, weekends and on-call shifts
