Most care jobs leave you exhausted and undervalued. This one doesn't. You'll work just weekends supporting two people in their own home, earn £13.12 an hour with guaranteed hours, and be part of a charity that genuinely invests profits back into their workforce and the people they support

Picture yourself spending your whole shift with the same two people, building real relationships instead of rushing between strangers. One is 50, one is 65. They love getting out into the community on public transport, trying new restaurants, joining local groups. You'll be there making those outings happen, supporting someone with seizures and a PEG tube, trained by people who actually know what they're doing. That's not just care; that's changing someone's life

The home itself is calm and welcoming. The two people living there are easy-going, sociable and proud of what they've built together. They want staff who are driven and motivated to help them live their best lives, and they're honest about what matters: you'll need to respect their wishes and genuinely enjoy going out into the community with them. Work with people like that and you'll never dread a shift

You'll be one of two support staff during the day, and trained in seizure management and buccal midazolam from day one. This provider invests in you. That means ongoing professional development, a real pension scheme, 28 days' annual leave (pro-rata for part-time), and a financial hardship fund if life gets tough. They pay for your DBS. They pay the Living Wage every April and commit to keeping pace with it each year

What you will be doing

  • Support two people to get out into the community regularly using public transport, whether that's shopping trips, meals out or local groups they want to join
  • Provide personal care and support for someone with a PEG tube fitted, following SALT guidelines and any dietary needs
  • Be trained in seizure management and buccal midazolam administration and deliver that care with confidence
  • Build genuine relationships and spend your whole shift with the same people, not rotating through different clients

Why you will love working here

  • £13.12 per hour with guaranteed contracted hours and no unpredictability about what you'll earn
  • 28 days' annual leave (pro-rata), a pension scheme and a financial hardship fund so you're genuinely supported when life happens
  • Work in casual clothes, no uniform, based in one location so no need to be a car driver
  • Ongoing professional development, training in the specific skills you'll need, and genuine progression opportunities within a multi award-winning charity
  • Shopping discounts, a recommend-a-friend bonus scheme and investment in your wellbeing because this organisation actually values its people

Is this you?

  • You're available to work every Saturday and Sunday and can commit to the weekend-only rota
  • You're driven and motivated to help people live their best lives, not just get through the day
  • You respect people's wishes and genuinely enjoy supporting others to build community relationships
  • You're willing to learn; you don't need experience, but you do need the willingness to be trained in seizure management, medication administration and PEG tube support
