Most care jobs ask you to give everything but offer you very little in return. You work long shifts with young people in real crisis, yet the pay barely moves and your development gets left behind. This role is different: it's in a home where your skills actually matter, where the team has your back, and where the salary and support are built to reward what you're really worth
Picture yourself working with 8 to 18-year-olds who've been through the mill - kids with big emotional and behavioural difficulties who need someone steady, creative and genuinely present. You're not just managing chaos; you're helping them find safety, build routines, and believe in themselves again. A teenager who hasn't slept through the night in months finally settles. A child who wouldn't eat meals with the team joins you at the table. These aren't small wins
The team here gets it. Your manager and the other support workers aren't counting the clock; they're solving problems together, backing each other up through the tough shifts, and celebrating the breakthroughs. You'll be doing the real work: supporting emotional, physical and social needs, accompanying young people to appointments and activities, delivering personal care, managing household routines, and keeping meticulous records. It's structured. It's purposeful. It's exhausting sometimes. But it's meaningful every single day
This provider invests in you properly. You get 5.6 weeks of annual leave plus 8 public holidays, your Enhanced DBS paid in full with future renewals covered, and a matched pension contribution up to 3% so you're actually building something. The qualifications and career development are real too: QCF pathways that take you from support worker toward senior roles. Access to Circle (your wellbeing and discount hub), a Blue Light card for high street savings, and a £500 referral bonus when you bring talented people into the team. The pay is fair - they're a Real Living Wage Employer with pay scales that actually recognise what you know and what you've earned

- Support household tasks and maintain a safe, nurturing environment where young people can begin to thrive
- Complete accurate, clear documentation and reports that track progress and inform the wider team
