Most care jobs feel like you're running on a treadmill: low pay, zero training, and managers who don't have your back. This is different. We're looking for people who actually want to change young people's lives, and we're willing to invest in you properly to make that happen
You'll be working in a residential home with young people who have complex needs, developmental disabilities, or behavioural challenges. This isn't just about keeping them safe, though that matters deeply. You'll be the person who helps them build confidence, learn daily living skills, plan activities they genuinely enjoy, and feel like someone believes in them. That matters more than you might think right now
Here's what makes this different: you don't need years of experience already under your belt. We're recruiting from all kinds of backgrounds. Former hospitality staff, people who've supported family members through difficult times, youth workers, anyone with genuine compassion and the right attitude. You'll get full training and a supportive management team who actually know what they're doing. Career progression is real here, not just something they say in the advert
Sleep-in shifts pay extra at £4,160 per annum on top of your hourly rate, and if you eat with the young people you support (which many do), meals are included. You get paid induction, proper support to earn Health and Social Care qualifications, and a refer-a-friend bonus of £900 when someone you know joins the team. This is a growing organisation that's building something genuine
What you will be doing

- Support with daily living activities, meals and mealtimes, always building independence and confidence
- Plan and run engaging activities that develop social skills, build life experience, and create positive memories
- Keep the home environment safe, clean and nurturing, and document care activities and progress accurately
- Support attendance at appointments, education and community activities, staying present and protective throughout
- Be the reliable, consistent adult these young people can count on as a positive role model and advocate
