Most care jobs feel like you're just processing shifts, ticking boxes, and going home exhausted. This one is different: you'll be genuinely shaping young people's lives, building real relationships, and growing as a support worker while the team invests in you. If you want work that actually matters, this is it

Imagine walking into a home where you're not just a pair of hands - you're someone young people look forward to seeing. You'll support residents through personal care, help them explore the community, attend appointments with them, manage everyday tasks that build independence, and be the steady, kind presence they can count on. Some days you'll help someone navigate a medical appointment; other days you're out discovering what the local area has to offer. No two shifts are the same, and that's the beauty of it

This provider genuinely backs their team. You'll get proper training from day one - whether you're brand new to care or bring a year or two of experience. They offer an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care pathway, on-site parking, flexitime to fit your life, and a company pension so you're building something real. The rota includes day shifts and night shifts across a flexible week, with every other weekend covered, so you can plan your life around the work, not the other way round

You'll become someone's reliable, compassionate support worker - the person who helps them grow, who they trust, who makes their daily life better. That's not hyperbole. It's what happens when you care properly and the organisation supports you to do it well

What you will be doing

  • Support young people with personal care and daily living tasks, helping them develop independence and life skills
  • Accompany residents to medical appointments, community activities, and outings, enabling them to engage with the world around them
  • Help with practical tasks like managing bills, shopping, and household routines
  • Build and maintain trusting relationships with young people and their families, communicating effectively about their needs and progress
  • Document and report on support provided, keeping records that help the wider team understand what's working

Why you will love working here

  • £12.50 per hour for 25 - 40 hours per week, flexible to your life
  • Proper training in Health and Social Care (NVQ Level 2 pathway available) so you build real skills, not just get by

  • Day shifts and night shifts to suit your pattern, every other weekend included, plus on-site parking
  • A referral programme where your recommendations earn rewards, and a team that actually values what you bring

  • You already have the right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available)
