Most care jobs feel like you're just getting through the shift. But this role is different: you'll be the steady, trusted adult in a child's life when they need it most. If you've got genuine warmth, patience and a real desire to help young people build better futures, keep reading
Picture yourself arriving at work knowing that the routines you help create, the conversations you have over breakfast, the calm presence you bring during difficult moments - these things actually matter. You'll be part of a small team supporting children and young people with diverse needs, from learning and behavioural support to physical care. Every day brings the chance to help a young person feel safer, more confident, or a little bit more understood
You'll work closely with families, schools and healthcare professionals, so you're never working in isolation. Your role feeds into real care plans and genuine person-centred support. Whether you're helping with personal care, encouraging a child through play and learning activities, or simply maintaining the kind of routine that helps a young person feel held - you're doing work that changes lives
This is a provider that values its team. They're serious about safeguarding, professional standards and creating spaces where children can actually thrive. That means proper support for you too: clarity about what's expected, people who have your back, and the chance to grow your skills in a setting that invests in development
