Most care jobs promise meaning but deliver exhaustion and low pay. This one is different: you'll work 24 hours a week supporting adults who genuinely need you, in a home where your development matters as much as theirs, backed by a national provider that actually invests in your future
Picture yourself building real relationships with up to 8 adults, each with their own story. You'll support people aged 18 to 65 with autism, learning disabilities and mental health challenges to live well, participate in what they love, and feel safe and valued. That's not abstract care work - that's changing lives every single shift
You won't be left to figure it out alone. From day one, you'll have access to paid learning and development that takes you from level 2 through to level 5 NVQ in Health & Social Care. The service invests in internal leadership competency sessions too, so your growth isn't an afterthought - it's built in
Work a flexible rota that fits your life: mornings, lates, weekends, and waking nights when needed. At £13.00 per hour for 24 hours a week, you'll earn reliable money. Add the contributory pension, the 24/7 employee assistance programme, exclusive discounts on shopping and leisure, and a generous referral scheme, and you've got a package that respects both your wallet and your wellbeing
What you will be doing
- Deliver 1-1 support that promotes positive wellbeing and celebrates the interests and goals of the people you work with
- Create and maintain a safe, happy home environment where excellent care and positive support are the daily reality
- Work flexibly across the rota - mornings, evenings, weekends and waking nights - adapting your approach to what each person needs
- Build strong relationships with colleagues and external partners, influencing positively across the service
