Most care jobs feel like you're just going through the motions, clocking in and out without ever really knowing if you've made a difference. This is different: you'll be part of a team that genuinely transforms lives, supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism to build real skills and independence. This is the role where your effort doesn't just matter, it changes everything

Picture yourself walking into the home knowing exactly why you're there: to help someone learn a new skill today, to be the steady presence during a personal care moment, or to join in an activity that lights up their face. You're not a resource on a rota, you're someone they rely on and look forward to seeing. Some of your colleagues have travelled abroad supporting residents on holiday, taking that trust and relationship beyond the walls of the home. That's the scale of impact you'll have

The team here aren't just clocking hours. They're purposeful, positive, and progressive, which means you'll be working alongside people who actually care about doing this well. The home has been built on over 35 years of knowing how to support people properly, so you won't be figuring it out alone. You'll have access to paid learning and development from day one, including NVQ qualifications up to level 5 in Health & Social Care, plus internal leadership competency sessions that invest in your growth

The shifts are flexible and transparent: work 20 hours across varied patterns that suit your life (8 am-3 pm, 7 am-2 pm, 2 pm-9 pm, 8 am-8 pm, 3 pm-10 pm, or waking nights 8 pm-8 am), or step up to 40 hours, or go all-in on waking nights if that's your preference. Weekend working is part of it, and sleep-ins happen, but you'll know exactly what you're signing up for. This isn't hidden or sprung on you

What you will be doing

  • Enable and support adults to learn new skills towards living more independently, celebrating each small win with them
  • Provide personal care with dignity and respect, becoming someone they trust with their daily needs
  • Take part in the chosen activities of the people you support, sharing in things they actually enjoy
  • Work flexibly across various shift patterns including waking nights, weekends, and sleep-ins, supporting the continuity of care

Why you will love working here

  • £13.00 per hour with the flexibility to work 20 hours a week, 40 hours, or nights only, fitting around your life
  • Paid, comprehensive learning and development with recognised NVQ qualifications (level 2 to 5 in Health & Social Care) to build your career
  • Contributory pension scheme so your future is looked after while you're building theirs
  • Confidential Employee Assistance Programme available 24/7, plus exclusive employee benefits including savings on shopping, leisure and household expenses
  • A generous referral scheme and the genuine satisfaction of knowing you've changed someone's life

Is this you?

  • You have at least 1 year of experience working in a health and social care setting, ideally residential
  • You're dedicated, passionate, kind and genuinely caring - not just kind words, but people-centred actions
  • You've got a 'can do' attitude and can flex with the demands of shift work and the unpredictability that comes with supporting real people
  • You're a driver with a manual licence (preferred but not essential) who can help get residents where they need to be
