Most care jobs feel like you're just going through the motions, clocking in to tick boxes while the people you support stay stuck. This is different: a one-to-one role in a real home where your job is to actively help adults reclaim their independence, pursue what matters to them, and genuinely change the trajectory of their lives. You'll be part of a team that actually invests in you as much as you invest in them
You'll work one-to-one with adults who have learning disabilities and complex needs, supporting them to do the things that matter: accessing the community, pursuing their interests, building confidence in daily life. This isn't about managing risk or ticking task boxes. It's about being genuinely enthusiastic alongside them, spotting what they want to achieve and helping them get there
The home operates on shifts ranging from 6.45 am starts through to 9.00 pm finishes (12 to 13 hours per shift), giving you real continuity with the people you support and the chance to see tangible progress. You'll sometimes pick up waking nights or sleep-ins, but you'll know exactly why it matters and how it fits into someone's real goals
