Most support jobs feel like you're just processing paperwork and ticking boxes. But this role is different: you'll be the person who genuinely helps young people move toward independence, build confidence, and transform their lives. If you've got the empathy, energy and drive to make that real, we need to talk
Picture this: you're the trusted adult in someone's corner. They walk in uncertain, maybe they've faced homelessness or mental health challenges, and over weeks and months you help them see what's possible. You're there when they navigate a referral, celebrate a milestone, or hit a rough patch. That's not just a job - that's being a catalyst for genuine change
Your caseload of residents becomes people you know deeply. You understand their goals, their strengths, their real aspirations. You deliver person-centred support through one-to-one sessions and group work, always focused on outcomes and empowerment. You collaborate with mental health teams, youth services, and other agencies - building the safety net that lets people thrive
You'll join a provider whose whole purpose is giving people a place to call home and the support to build independent lives. This is an organisation with 40,000 homes and nearly 100,000 people they serve. You'll be part of something genuinely purposeful, working within a culture that invests in people and communities, not just processes
What you will be doing
- Manage a caseload of residents, guiding them through referrals, interviews and assessments with real empathy and professionalism
- Be their key point of contact once they join - welcoming them, building trust, and delivering tailored one-to-one and group support
- Help residents understand their housing and benefits options, giving them knowledge and confidence to move forward
- Work collaboratively with specialist agencies like mental health teams and youth services to wrap the right support around each person
- Keep every interaction focused on outcomes, strengths and helping people realise their full potential
Why you will love working here
- Work for a provider with a genuine social mission: making a real difference to people and communities, not just hitting targets
- Join a team that's collaborative and supportive, where your work is valued and your impact is visible every single day
- If you're not already qualified, there's an expectation and support for you to study towards a professional qualification - investing in your growth
- Be part of an organisation recognised as a Disability Confident Employer, where mental health and wellbeing in the workplace matter
Is this you?
- Is this you: you've worked with vulnerable people before, and you understand the real effects of homelessness or housing insecurity
- You've got solid knowledge of housing and benefits advice - or you're hungry to build that knowledge fast
- You're naturally brilliant at building trust and fostering meaningful relationships, even with people who've been let down before
- You communicate with warmth and clarity, and you can adapt your approach to suit different people and situations
- You understand boundaries and safeguarding instinctively - integrity isn't a box you tick, it's how you work
